Obama's Ridin' wit Biden

So Obama has finally decided on a V.P.
He kept people waiting and guessing espeacially
the pundits on T.V.

I think Biden is a good pick, he's tough and people
recognize his name
And when it comes to foreign policy, he can really
take it to McCain

We are in the 4th quarter and it's still a close game
But Obama will prevail, cause McCain's out of touch
plus he's old and lame

Up until this point Obama's been on the defense
Just trying to play it safe trying to win over moderates
that's still on the fence

I wish Obama would run as more of populist and speak for
the working class
And take off the gloves and knock McCain on his ass

McCain is an accident waiting to happen, known for putting
his foot in his mouth
So I'm ridin', with Obama and Biden, all the way to the
Whitehouse

Snowden Gets Venezuela, Nicaragua Asylum Offers
CARACAS, Venezuela -- The quest by NSA leaker Edward Snowden for a safe haven has taken a turn toward Latin America, with offers for asylum coming from the leftist presidents of Nicaragua and Venezuela.

But there were no immediate signs that efforts were underway to bring him to either nation after Nicolas Maduro of Venezuela and Daniel Ortega of Nicaragua made their offers during separate speeches in their home countries Friday.

The offers came one day after leftist South American leaders gathered to denounce the rerouting of Bolivian President Evo Morales' plane over Europe amid reports that the fugitive American was aboard.

Syria's Assad Brags In Wake Of Morsi's Fall
Syrian President Bashar Assad said in an interview published Thursday that his government had fended off everything his enemies had thrown at him and that the only remaining threat to his rule was a far-off – and improbable – foreign intervention.

In comments to the state-run Al-Thawra newspaper, Assad rejected the idea that what has transpired in Syria for more than two years is a revolution. Instead, he reiterated his past claims that it is a conspiracy by Western and some Arab states to destabilize his country.

Geraldo Rivera, already famous for saying that Trayvon Martin's hoodie got him killed by George Zimmerman, said Friday that he thought Zimmerman would dodge a murder conviction because the nearly all-white jury would probably have killed Martin too. Rivera was speaking on "Fox & Friends" just as Zimmerman's defense attorneys prepared to deliver their closing argument, thus bringing the trial to a close. He said he had always felt that the case was one of total self-defense on Zimmerman's part, and he blamed Al Sharpton for the case having been brought to trial at all.

According to the 2008 official Pentagon inventory of our military bases around the world, our empire consists of 865 facilities in more than 40 countries! In just one such country, Japan, at the end of March 2008, we had more than 99,000 people connected to the U.S. military living and working there. What do Japan and Germany and the 40 plus other countries have to do with 9/11? This has nothing to do with our defence. These massive concentrations of American military power outside the United States are not needed for our defence. They are, if anything, a prime contributor to our numerous conflicts with other countries. They are also unimaginably expensive. The United States spends approximately 250 billion each year maintaining its global military presence. The sole purpose of this is to give us hegemony -- that is, control or dominance -- over as many nations on the planet as possible. It’s not about defence, it’s about dominance.
